12 week update
sorry for the delayed posting. didn't quite meet my goals but i am happy nonetheless. this is now my lifestyle and i expect to continue to see results. i have changed my weight schedule a bit, now doing a 3 day split rather than full body workouts. i hope my legs will tone and slim but i am really happy with my upper body.

BFL C1 Start Date 2/4/2008 Starting Weight: 130 BF: 22% ------ End Date 4/27/2008 Ending Weight: 127 BF: 19% I lost a total of 4.5lbs of fat and gained 1.5lbs of muscle --- along with increased confidence! Starting challenge #2 OFFICIALLY on May 5th, 2008 Following BFL to the letter....hopefully it will re-write my life's story! |

Great job in C1! Very impressive results! I think your results are right on par with what others have achieved. I think when you don't have a lot to lose in the beginning, your final pics don't appear extremely different from beginning to end. I mean if you lost 50 lbs it would be more than obvious before and after... when you lose 3 lbs and 3% bf it may not be as noticeable.... That being said, your results are VERY noticeable. If you focus on your upper half, you have slimmed down considerably. your posture is improved, you're slimmer and more toned all over. You have impressive abs now too. You've lost several inches around your waist and hips... I showed your pic to my wife and she agrees!
Now I'm sure you're frustrated with your progress on your lower half, but that's better than you think too... Your body stores its fat in your thighs. It is the first place you'll gain it and the last place you'll lose it... but trust me, you're losing it. Your legs are overall more shapely and toned. Big difference. An aside: I store my fat in my stomach. I've been doing a routine lately to try to gain some mass and it's making my belly grow again. It's frustrating and I'm forced to focus on the bigger picture at the moment... In a few weeks I'll shift into recomposition again and I know it will slim down. Fat sucks, no doubt about it. Keep building the muscle, eating "clean" and the fat will continue to melt away. Again, excellent job! ![]() |

I think you look great!!! Like me, you want your legs to shrink and boy is that a hard task to accomplish!!

awesome job lynnzeiner! congrats on finishing up challenge 1 and starting challenge 2... you made some major progress in the first challenge, esp in the lower body area.
