My starting pics- here we go!

Hi everyone!

I started my BFL challenge last week. Im almost done with my second week so I thought Id go ahead and post my before pics. I know they look ok but they are not stellar. I really want to have a beach wedding and look awesome and feel awesome. I am doing the challenge with two friends who are so supportive. We have been eating great and have not missed a workout yet.

While I have been working hard I have not seen any difference yet. Ill post more pictures after the 4 week mark- so in 2 more weeks.

I just want to thank eveyone who posts on this forum. Every other program I have ever tried I have always ended up quitting. I appreciate the support.

Hi slimandsexyish, like you sort of already suggested you do have a pretty good body already so you have a nice starting point. If you can manage to stick it out BFL is actually a lot of fun and I think you'll do great.

Since you don't have a lot to lose, it may be longer before YOU notice results. But that doesn't mean WE won't notice them. Keep posting your pics and we'll point out where you're "cutting". You have a nice figure already, I'm sure you'll be very pleased the results.

I used my own beach wedding for motivation last year... it's a phenomenal source of inspiration. Just keep picturing yourself in the best shape of your life on the most important day of it... Sweet!

You look great now. But with the book's recommended weight lifting techniques, I am certain you will look fantastic by the end of the 12th week. How exciting.

hi peacelilly! Thank you so much. I just started week three. I think your right about the weights. I just worry that im not doing it right. Some of the machines are so hard I can hardly push them up. And sometimes it feels like I'm just straining my neck or that it's too easy. It's hard to find a balance. How is your challenge going? Have you made any progress you can share?

Well, I followed the book's instructions and only use freeweights. It keeps things simple and I do see progress in terms of gaining muscles. Hubby is definitely liking my new body.

I am spoiled, I think I take him for granted because he compliments me all the time and now it feels similar to a mom complimenting a child. Can't really describe it. It's like: of course you think I am "good-looking" 'cause you love me.

But regardless, I do catch myself looking in the mirror and liking what I see. If you keep up with the program, I guarantee you will feel the same

I guarantee it's not like a mother complimenting a child. Of course he thinks your good looking because he loves you, but I'm sure he thinks your good looking because you ARE good looking. I'm guessing my wife shares the same sentiment as you, this would be my response to her too.

Why is it that women take every available opportunity to get down on themselves? Do you realize that confidence is uber sexy?

Haha. I do realize confidence is ubber sexy. When I type, it really depends on my mood at the moment. Overal, 99% of the time, I am very very comfortable with my body. But with this program, I do concentrate on how to improve it so I am a bit hard on myself.

When he compliments me, I do thank him and don't counteract with "you are just saying that". But it's really weird because it does feel like he of course will think I am beautiful because he loves me. haha. I know. Crazy we women can be most of the time.

Hubby complains that I am so unpredictable and I tell him that's a good thing - like being married to many women.

If your reaction to your husband telling you he likes your body is to compare him to a mother complimenting a child, you should probably get some help, either for the sake of your relationship or for the sake of your children, depending on your interpretation of the mother/child thing.

Haha. I agree, I do need professional mental help but not for this reason. haha.

Hm, I wonder how I could make it clearer. I suppose you, a woman, does not get what I mean huh? haha.

Let's just say, hubby gives me way way too much attention to a point that I am taking it for granted. Almost like a mom, loving her child unconditionally. The child just assumes it will always be there and think not much of it. For example, he always makes me breakfast on the weekends and deliver it to bed for me to eat while he takes care of our three young kids. I don't go gaga over this because it's a given. haha. Am I digging a bigger hole for myself?

So really anyone get what I mean by hubby's opinion doesn't count much because of course he thinks you are sexy/attractive because he loves you.

Anyway, I am hijacking this threat so I'll stop here.
