Winnie-Day 84

Today is the last day in my first round of BFL.
Woot!
Data and images are attached. Sorry for the way it looks like my height has changed. The first set of pictures were taken by someone who is apparently not the same height as my tripod. I evened them up as well as I could.

I honestly feel pretty good about my transformation in 12 weeks.

This wasn't some life-altering process for me like it appears to be for a lot of the people who write essays and win BFL. I can't even be cheesy and say something like, "My confidence is so much improved." Honestly, any psychological changes occurred before I decided to start BFL, and were the probable cause of my starting. I don't think I would have been able to do this if I were where I was mentally a couple years ago.

I can say, however that I am significantly healthier. My joints don't hate me as much as they used to when I was moving 234 lbs around on them. I can run much farther and faster than I could 3 months ago. I'm a good deal stronger than before I started BFL. My clothes all either fit better or are too big now, and my family and girlfriend tell me how much better I look. Another dude even started a round of BFL because of how I did, an act I consider the most sincere form of compliment.

I also need some new belts, because the ones I started with are way too long now.

I'm definitely not done yet, either. I'm going to take a little time off in the name of avoiding over-training injury and recharging motivation, and then I'll be back for C2.

EDIT: I probably should have put this in the post. As Andy pointed out, I lost 41.5 pounds.

My charts also list -40 as my goal weight. This is only partially true. When I started, my goal was to lose 18 lbs in 12 weeks. When I blew that goal away in 4 weeks, I upped it to 25 lbs. I then changed my goal weight every 2-3 weeks after that, with it finally settling on 40 lbs.

That's great, you've done really well. I think it's especially cool that you've encouraged someone else to do it because of how well it's gone for you.

Yeah man, way to go! That's an amazing transformation. 40+# is HUGE! You just set down a very heavy bag of dog food that's been on your body for who knows how long (think about that, every 40# that you're over weight is like carrying around a jumbo bag of dog food). Doesn't it feel great? You look amazing! Fantastic!

I don't know what else to say... WOW!

Thanks, guys. I don't really know how to explain it, but I guess I would say I feel more physically comfortable. Like all that extra mass made it hard to be comfortable.

I had gotten so used to it that I didn't realize it until after the weight started disappearing.

Am I making any sense? Any at all?

Anyway, now I just can't wait to get back on BFL. But I'm still going to take some time off first.
