Jounrey to recovery from CECS (Chronic Exertional Compartment Syndrome) and the weight gained in the ten years that I let it keep me from being active as I wanted, and the last two years during which I have been recovering from the surgery for it.

This blog documents the days I am spending on the Body For Life challenge in an attempt to lose 30 lbs of fat and to become strong and fit.

I am a pescetarian of mostly northern european extraction with a lot of traits from my Norwegian side of the family. I am very wide of frame and heavy of build, so adding lots of muscle will be a key component in my fitness regime.

Update: Mouth pretty much done bothering me.

Haven't posted in a week because I've been focusing on healing and haven't had much positive energy to spread in recent days.

Now I think I'm decent again for public consumption. Mouth is no longer bleeding, I'm off all pain meds, and I'm able to excercise.

I'm working out again, but not with any structure. Going for a swim in the puget sound tomorrow...that should burn a calorie or 900.

Getting mentally prepared for my next bout of fitness training.

On a side positive note, not being able to eat is great for wieght loss. I weigh 214 now. 10 lbs less than when I had the teeth pulled. About 3 lbs a week, maybe a little more...

That's about right for my fat-loss rate.

Didn't get to go for that swim. Sadly the 2nd hand wetsuit was about 4 sizes too small. Not sure what the guy who gave it to me was thinking.

I gave it to my 130 lb friend who barely could get it on. lol.
