Winter indoor cardio

Hi folks,

I normally run for my cardio days, but I'm home with my kid asleep in the next room. I can't leave the house, plus it's winter outside. Can anyone suggest an indoor cardio routine? I have some ideas from a Jillian Michaels workout DVD, but she has strength moves too that I want to avoid until strength days.

Thanks

Winter in Wyoming is chilly too so I've been doing all indoor cardio so far ---- and I just run in place! Really! I toss in some high knees to help up the intensity, but I can get going at a fairly good clip. I stay more on the balls of my feet and just run in place like a basterd. Not like that weak run in place you see people do in town when they wait at an intersection for a stoplight to change.
I'm probably going to tape myself and put it on youtube soon actually, so I can get some feedback on if my intensity is "right" ... but so far I feel it is! I get a good heart- and breathrate, break a good sweat, etc etc.

I just wrapped up my own patented indoor winter workout. Feel free to infringe on my copyright:

level 5's: jog in place, just getting the feet off the floor
Level 6: jumping jacks
Level 7: my own taekwondo routine, medium intensity
Level 8: Taekwondo routine, I'm pretending I'm sparring
Level 9: Taekwondo, I'm in a barfight
Level 10: One word... Ninjas

Level 9 was also a Jillian Michaels move called mountain climbers: get into a pushup pose, then alternate pulling each knee to your chest.

I personally have a similar routine of boxing/kick-boxing with a heavy bag, shadow boxing, pushups, jumping jacks and running in place.

Of course you can always go with a treadmill, elliptical or stationary bike. You can get used stuff pretty cheap on craigslist.
