Motivation from posting photos
Our new photo forum is a good thing..
If you want motivation, post up a photo..even a before photo and go to work on your physique...eat clean and work out..take progress photos and post them up once a month...It helps with your commitment, and your friends will encourage you to stay with it..it's worth it and will help you with your transformation...If you don't know how to attach photos, ask some questions about it...it's not hard to do.. Maljonic will help..Edit: Other members...do you agree that posting photos provides motivation? Last edited by gnash; 11-01-2007 at 12:10 AM. Reason: addition |

I agree... I also think that you guys were able to see things in my pics that I didn't necessarily observe. I highly recommend posting photos.

I do have my pics on tracker and it is motivational - I am afraid of the before pics... so i keep working hard. I have always been shy about my pics but this time around i posted them.. it keeps me more accountable as well.

Posting some things I have learned from other forums about photos.. 1.. Stand up tall and pull the shoulders back a bit..... 2.. Subdued lighting is better than harsh light.. 3.. Shots at a slight angle are better than straight on..they show muscle striation and delineation better.. ![]() 4.. Exhale completely and hold your breath..tighten the abs .. 5.. Raised arms are fine, or at your sides...on back shots you can "pinch" the middle traps (the area between the shoulder blades ) slightly..that pulls your shoulders back.. Some forums are picky about photos...we're not picky on BFL...You can post any kind of photo that you want... ![]() We have a lot of new members...If you have suggestions for improving the quality of fitness pics, please post them up.. gnash |

I think photos are great, it helps to motivate other peole and its good to get feedback in regards to changes you may not see yourself. I have taken before photos and took my end of 2nd week photos today and already notice improvement, its quite exciting! Will wait a few more weeks before I post them up tho!

Before and after photos are awesome - even if you dont post them. We took before photos ... and the Mr was complaining that after 7 weeks, even though the scale was down 19 pounds, he wasn't seeing anything. I was like "are you crazy?"
So I cut up the before photos side by side with the 7 week photos, like I did for another member on here ... and the difference is fantastic. The the Mr was like - oh yeah, will you look at that! He's looking fantastic. It's a lot of fun to watch his muscular physique develop. My progress seems slower because of the layer of body fat over my muscles, but my body is slowly reshaping and it's fun to see that every day too. It's hard to see ourselves and critique our progress, especially if it's slight. We've seen ourselves for so long in a certain light, it makes us biased. ![]()
