Get new people to come by signing the guest book
While EAS and Body-for-LIFE didn't promote this page on their website, I've found a way to do it anyway. The guestbook on Body-for-LIFE is very popular and people keep commenting on how tough it is to keep up with all the posts and questions. I've started making it a habit of each time I check this message board, I then go to bfl.com and post to the guest book something on the order of: Come check out Bodyforlifeforum via a quick internet search. we are a fun group of BFL challengers working hard to motivate each other and to answer any questions you might have. bodyforlifeforum. Their system won't let you post links or say anything about dot com.
I don't know if this will actually help, but it's worth a shot.... |

I didn't know about that site...I checked it out and it's getting a lot of posts and traffic ..Makes me wonder about the lack of posting on here..
Are the members posting and reading that site more than this one? ![]() I got the feeling from the posts on 11/1 that the BFL site is considered to be "the official site" sanctioned by BFL...There could be something to that position.. Edit: another observation is that the people over there seem to be making friends with each other, listing email addresses and inviting communication...I would not want to do that, but I can see a certain bonding that could come out of it...as long as you didn't get some nutcases on the site.. |

Often with message boards, even this little one, you get a lot of 'lurkers' who just like to read and not post - or they just use it to search for stuff and find their answer in what we've written.
I guess, Chris, that your posting might get the odd new member here from time to time. I sometimes find if sites are too big it's impossible to get an answer to your posts as your question gets lost amongst a bunch of other questions. Also, if you want to, you could "bookmark" the site in some of the more popular social bookmarking sites, or add your "thumbs up" or review for it if someone has already bookmarked it, as is the case with stumbleupon: http://www.stumbleupon.com/url/www.b...lifeforum.com/ or is one of those one of you two? ![]() |

It's under the MyAccount tab. Almost everything you need system-wise is in that area. Look for it up near the top of the page.

I just wanted to add in here that I found this site through the guest book. I find it much more user friendly.

I posted it again to the guest book and then went back to see what people were saying. Seems they hate me there for trying to convert their fans. Truth is I really don't care if we get any more new members, you guys are all great. I just like to help people experience success. I want to be a professor for my career and it's natural for me to want to teach everything I know.
I'm going to stop recruiting members, cause I'd hate it if people started doing that here. But if any of you would like to carry the tourch and come up with new ways to gain recruits, go for it... Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to share my sucesses. ![]() |

Chris - i love hearing others successes. It is motivating for me. People are all adults on gb (as far as age goes) and if they choose to post on this forum, gb or anywhere else for that matter it is their choice. You really arent stealing members from them. I still read gb and look for people on there that i have talked with and still talk with them. There are a couple i am close to and that is our means of communication.
I truly believe that body for life should be shared and people shouldn't be limited to where they share or learn about it. I will share this forum with those i know. HOpefully they join. We will see what happens. |
