Great weight lifting web site

Hi guys..
Me and my boyfriend are thinking of buying a set of dumbbells, weights, barbell, bench etc. so I was just searching for some tips and stuff and I came across this great website that has everything explained (and backed-up with all sorts of scientific studies)! Every single exercise is explained and it also features small .gif animations of the exercise so you can actually see how its done properly. The exercises for a specific muscle or muscle group are sorted into groups according to type (like lever, dumbell, barbell, smith, cable, sled, weighted, stretch)! It also has lots of info on weight training myths, workout templates and lots of very useful stuff! I really think it's a great site and I hope you find it interesting too. I like the fact it's not so commercial and flashy. Theres no 'Lose your fat in 2weeks' and 'Drink our protein shake cuz it's the best' around. Not very graphic either. It just states the facts and thats it. I like
I hope it's ok if I post the link. If not remove it please. Here goes: ExRx (Exercise Prescription) on the Net

Yeh, I agree.
Links posted like these helps a lot to give you a better informed 'perspective' of the health and excercise world (which I've only discovered like 8 weeks ago )

Yeah and I think it's great for people who have no exprience in lifting free weights or have no idea what they're doing in the gym. I wish I found it sooner hehehe! I've searched the forum for the link but maybe I just didn't see it so I'm sorry for reposting. Meybe some newbies will find it helpful anyway!

I'll caution you 1 thing with exrx... it's a data base full of great exercises, which is awesome.. but it also has with it some crazy things that are liable to get you injured. Of course I can't think of a good example at the moment, but if what you are doing feels at all awkward, STOP, do something else instead.
