Check my meal plan?

Hey all,

So my BFL goal is to mainly lose fat. Here's a mealplan for one of my days.

Meal 1: 3 egg white omelette w/ spinach, ham, and a slice of low fat cheese
Meal 2: Small banana w/ tsp of peanut butter
Meal 3: Protein shake w/ a handful of frozen mixed berries and 1/2 turkey sandwich on whole wheat bread w/ lettuce and mustard
Meal 4: Apple and 1/2 cup low fat cottage cheese
Meal 5: Grilled chicken breast w/ veggies and 1/2 cup rice
Meal 6: Jello

I feel like that's alot of food! Is it too much? How's the variety look to you?

Thanks!

Looks pretty good....the protein shake with berries should be a meal on it's own, you could have saved the sandwich for your 6th meal...also, jello is pretty much flavored water...not a carb or a protein.
Over all, everything else looks pretty good.

Okay, just me talking here but I don't remember reading anything about cheese or peanut butter being allowed in Bill's book. We don't have cheese (whether it be low fat or no fat) except on cheat day. Also, if we eat rice it's whole wheat rice (which is nasty so we usually don't eat rice; whole wheat pasta is yummy.) Not sure if your rice was white or not but I thought we weren't allowed to eat white. Also, if your goal is fat loss, we personally prefer eating "No Fat" Cottage cheese for obvious reasons. I guess it just depends on the person how "hard core" you go but I'm doing this with my OCD husband so that's my take. See how your results are looking after a couple of weeks and if nothing is happening, consider taking out the peanut butter and cheese and going no fat on the cottage cheese. Also, like was said above, a protein shake with berries is all you need for a full meal. (If it's a Myoplex shake you can drink that alone for a complete meal.) Add anything else to that and it's probably just too much for one meal. Also, just a side note, you may want to try Eggbeaters as opposed to egg whites. At least in my opinion they taste MUCH better than egg whites for anything scrambled. I only use real egg whites for things like Hard Boiled Eggs. Hope this helps some!

Natural peanut butter is approved, just be mindful of portion size (It's catagorized as a fat)
Whole fat dairy is on the avoid list, I think skim and lowfat chees and milks are allowed.

Agree,
But with the Fat Free Cheeses and such, there is ALOT of sugar in them. This is the problem with the whole fat free world. When you take out the fat, you are replacing the flavor component with Sugar. It is best to go 2% cottage cheese in correct portion size. I get a brand that comes in 1/2 cup snack sizes similar to pudding cups, and have a container of Sugar Free Yogurt and it's a meal.

Thanks for the input! The cheese I used is part skim and low fat/cal. The PB is also the natural kind from Smart Balance. I think both are okay as long as you use them in moderation...we need some fat in our diets right?
