New to BFL/Meal Plan Critique

Hi,
I am new to BFl....well any fitness/weight loss program for that matter. I have never really tried to lose weight. I am 5' 4 and I weigh 130. I wouldn't mind losing about 5-10 pounds and I really want to tone up. I am trying to change my eating habits. Would somebody mind taking a look at my meals for today. They are pretty similar throughout the week.

1. 10 Almonds and Banana (this is all I ate b/c I went to a spin class at my gym and I didn't want to barf)
2. Mini Whole Wheat Bagel with 2 egg whites/1 whole egg and tomato
3. Turkey sandwich (deli meat and whole wheat bread) with a little light mayo and lettuce and tomato, baby carrots
4. Kashi go lean bar, banana
5. Vegetable Shrimp Pasta (got the recipe from bodyforlife.com), 1 clementine
6. A few almonds, apple, and light semi soft cheese

I know I cheated in a few place and I am using some food that are not authorized but do I need to be more strict with my eating?

It's not bad... I think you'll see results with this food list. But if you're looking to optimize I have a few suggestions. First, up your protein a little. Instead of the go lean bar, have some cottage cheese, yogurt, or some other leftover food (like chicken breast). Cottage cheese is also a great before bed snack (instead of the semi-soft cheese).

Some things that are technically carbs (according to the food list) can really boost protein. Black beans and yogurt are good examples. Edamame can be found at your local asian market. These are soybeans in a pod. Loaded with protein and count as a vegetable.

Honestly, your list looks pretty close to mine during my first challenge. It's probably fine to eat this for a while and see how you do. And just an aside, the almonds and banana are great before a workout. Banana's are slow digesting and the fat from the nuts makes it even slower... this should fuel your workout nicely. Good work!
