Advice on cut abs pls

Im not sure if this is the correct section to post in, but I am. I just started. Im one week in and it feels great. But my abs never hurt. I like to feel pain and know that they are going to have to heal and be stronger. What are the BEST abdominal excersises that i can do that have been successful for BFL people in the past? Thanks for your opinions

Truthfully, every exercise works abs as long as you get in the habit of holding them tight. Then once you get to abs specific exercises the selection isn't as important. I like doing planks and reverse crunches.

Are you aware that spot training is a myth? Doing extra ab work won't make your abs leaner. Instead focus on compound, full body moves for your other exercises and the abs practically take care of themselves. Good luck!

I don't know if plank is a compound move, but I LOVE it! Why? Cause I don't have to move at all. I just hold that position and it does all the work. lol Of course I always throw side planks in there as well. What about "washing machine" moves? They always feel like they are doing something, so I do them. Plus they are in the workout videos I like to do.

Compound moves include squats, dead lifts, overhead presses, bench press, bent over rows, pull ups, push ups, and many others. This is opposed to isolation exercises which only work 1 muscle group. Try to train as many muscle groups with each move as possible, this will give you the best results.
