I finally bought a scale

Well last night I finally decided to purchase a scale. I'm going to start a new fitness regimen in the next couple weeks that requires me to weigh myself weekly to know if I have the diet correct. I will also need to get some skin-fold calipers (mental note).

Anyway, I thought about you guys a lot while I was walking through the store with it. It's been about 9 months since I started working out heavily and my first scale ever purchased. See how much I've relied on it? This is for all you out there that focus on it so much... some of us don't look at it at all, maybe you just pick up the slack... well now I'm taking some of that slack back so you can focus on it less..

Ok now I'm just being silly, but I thought it might be fun to share. I can't believe I actually bought a scale... what is this world coming to?

You are to funny Chris....LOL!! My hubby actually bought me one of those Tanita Innerscan Body Composition scales a few years ago for my Birthday of all occassions!!! I've learned not to rely on the Body Composition part...not very accurate from what i've seen. I only get on the scale every two weeks....I'm due this Friday in fact!!!

congrats on the scale chris lol. i can't believe you've been living without a scale, that's insane! about the calipers, i was going to buy some myself but, i have read several places that they aren't exactly reliable because you have to remember to do it in the same exact spot every time.... anyway i ended up not getting calipers because i have read great reviews about the Omron HBF-306 Body Fat Analyzer. it's apparently really easy to use and accurate. So, that's what i ordered... i'll keep everyone posted on how that works out!

Please let us know how well it works....I have a Inner Scan scale and I'm not sure that it's very accurate. I to have been looking for some other way to measure BF%. Since I'm at the gym so early each morning there are no trainers available to ask and see if they can do it for me.
