Finally!

Well the scale finally dropped a bit. The last two days its been right at 171.2 in the morning. When I started it was about 177. I'm also finally feeling a little bit different. Some of my shirts are fitting better, I can see a little bit of muscle poking out and my gut seems to have shrunk a little bit. I'm encouraged.

and you are just hitting your stride now - but remember- don't stare at your self in the mirrors at the gym to much (oh wait, was that me) - I still do it on most mornings - like how the hell did I get that muscle, etc... the motherload for me, was the abs - they just came out of no where and was really great when it happenned.

It's funny you say that Andy.. This vain bodybuilder stereotype is starting to make sense. I mean once the novelty (ha!) of doing this for your health wears off a bit, the cosmetic reasons are still there... So I see all sorts of muscles in myself that have never been there. I'm the biggest (muscle-wise) that I've been and weigh the most of my life. I feel great! But then I catch myself staring at MYSELF in the mirror at the gym, thinking hey you look pretty good there Chris. Then I glance over to the other meat heads in the gym and think, whoa you've got a long way to go... Just as you strive to think of yourself as "fat", I see myself as "stick boy".
Rock on though. The other guys motivate me. Maybe we are all motivating others in there too. And, hey, check yourself out... you deserve it!

Heh, I have a ways to go before my abs start popping out stat!! But yes, progress is cool, and everyone stares at themselves in the mirror at the gym. I was at the gym with my wife the other night and there was the one self admirer(a girl no doubt) and my wife just said is that girl going to actually lift anything?

The abs were the clincher - I was in such awe, and even today I was at the beach (with my shirt off and lovin it) - and was looking down at my abs - still not believing they were there.

LOL I always take a second or two extra when I'm putting a dumbbell back in the rack in front of the mirror and think "dang, where did those veins come from?"

Well, the scale is still down, in fact down to 170.8 today. Don't think it's water weight as I've been hydrating like a madman Next week I should be in the 160s by the end of the week!! Woohoo.

My boss also just told me that I looked skinny. I didn't think 8 or so pounds really looked that differen but maybe it does show. Any way, it made me feel good.
