Frustrated, I think that I am at a plateau!

I would still like to look like the people in the book, and I follow the BFL program compeltely except..the HIT method of cardio. I don't have a treadmill or bike or anything. And I cannot exactly get out for a run all the time. So I have been doing an exercise video every morning (either Tae Bo or The Firm series). I have noticed that I am toner by doing the weights. However, I still have some stubborn fat that will not come off, especially on my buttocks, abs, and mid-section. Does anyone have any recommendations.

Perhaps I am overtraining?

Like I said I do an exercise video every morning Monday-Friday, either Tae Bo (usually on the cardio days) or the Firm (usually on the wieght days).

I do weights Mon., Wedn., and Fr. and I do 2 exercises per body part, using he heaviest weights without getting injured.

I also sometimes belly dance, bikeride, hike, etc.
And I also have horses so they keep me active and since I live in the country I end up doing about 1 1/2-2 1/2 hours chores every day.

I do not exercise on Sundays, just chores.

And on Saturday I walk 4 miles at a brisk pace, sometimes jogging at times.

I am really frustrated and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, and the reason that I do more cardio is 1. all my family is overweight and have always had a hard time losing weight 2. I actually enjoy it 3. I am afraid that if I don't do lots of it I will gain back that nasty fat

Thanks for replying! My diet consistsof 5-6 small meals a day. I usually stick to 5 cause I am never hungry for the 6th and I just end up feeling weighed down. I try not to eat over 1200 calories a day. But sometime I eat up to 1500 or 1700. But on a good day...I eat under 1200 calories a day. I usually eat 2 fruits a day. here is my list of regularly eaten foods:

PROTEIN
cottage cheese (1%)
egg whites
yogurt(plain, except sometimes I will get a 60 calorie flavored dannon light one for a treat)
whey (used to make shakes with water)
soy (although not so much anymore, seems to bother my stomach)

CARBS
whole grain hot cereal
oatmeal
kashi high protein cereal
fruit
vegetables
35 calorie fudgesicles
beans (mostly just lentils)
brown rice

FATS
uummm....let me think about that one
I have extra virgin olive oil in teh cupboard...I just haven't used it yet

lets see that may not help much...

a "sample" day=

Meal 1/ 4 egg whites + 1 cup broccoli cooked with nonfat cooking spray or a serving of cereal with skim milk
meal 2/ yogurt or cottage cheese or fruit
meal 3/ varies greatly, sometimes its lentils+brown rice or fruit or something
meal 4/cottage cheese or whey
meal 5/cottage cheese or whey

For some reason, if I have more carbs and fruit in my diet I feel better. Low carb diets make me feel HORRIBLE. They literally make me feel sick

I try to limit my sodium in take, NO salt, NO sugar, NO butter, NO fats that are hard at room temperature, NO highly processed and refined stuff, and stuff like that

Does this help, I had a hard time explaining diet cuz I don't eat the exct same stuff every meal

Oh, for stats...what do you mean. Like do you want to know how much I weigh and how tall I am?

I feel so dumb, asking that question. Thanks.

I am 5 feet 2 inches tall. 125-130 pounds (depending when I weigh myself). 15 years old. As far as bodytype... I would say probably endo-mesomorph. I have a hard time losing fat, easy time putting it on. But muscle doesn't seem to grow so well for me...slow progress. I have been doing aerobics for about 3 years now, and before that it was just life...running, doing chores, riding horses, etc. And I have been weight training for about 1 1/2 years. So after all this time of waiting it out... I am tired of waiting. What am I doing wrong,as I always wonder.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR REPINDING AND HELPING ME OUT!!!
