Hello from Houston
Hello all,
I am new to the forum and am almost half way through the book Body for Life. I plan being through the book and ready to start my first challenge week on Monday. I am hoping to find a work out partner in my area (Houston, Texas). I am 5'5 - about 140 some odd pounds and my goal is a body transformation. I was previously well over 200 pounds and have lost the weight (surgical procedure) and am ready to work on my body shape. I have been active and working out powerflex, cardio classes, etc through the local gym but am ready to start a more intense and personalized program. One question I do have regarding body transformation is that since I am comfortable with my body size myy goal is to firm, tone, maybe even define. Can I do that without gaining weight? Perhaps convert fat to muscle, redistribute? Thank you for all the interesting posts and tips. Take care, Denise |

Hi Denise, you can burn off a lot of fat by building muscles, and you don't have to get mega musclely like the people in the pictures.

In my experience, it's hard to gain weight. You may go up a few pounds here and there, but to get big and muscly, it takes serious effort to do so. If you're getting too large, it's also easy to back off a bit.
Transformations are what this program is all about. Welcome to the forums and good luck on your challenge! ![]()
