Am I eating correctly?

In week one and wondering if I am eating correctly. Feeling hungry and I don't know why.

Menu for Day One:
Meal One - 6:00AM:
2 cups of Water
1/3 cups of scrambled egg whites
wheat tortilla
Multivitamin

Meal Two - 9:00AM:
EAS Premium Protein Chocolate Shake*
(2 scoops powder - 1 cup water)
1 cup of regular water until next meal

Meal Three Part I -11:30AM
1 Cup of Water
Banana
Upper Body Workout between 11:45- 12:45p
Meal Three Part II - 12:45p
Half a baked chicken breast
palm sized portion of vegetables

Meal Four - 2:30PM
Zone Bar*

Meal Five - 6:00PM
Shrimp Salad
2 Cups of Water

Meal Six - 8:00 -10:00Pm
Handful of Sunflower seeds (no shell)
bowl of non-buttered, non-salted light popcorn (Starving)

Was VERY hungry after upper body workout. Felt weak. Very hard to make it to next meal.

(* - These items were cost effective at Costco. They may not be Myoplex, but they serve the same purpose. The only way I can stick with this is to be able to buy things at stores I shop at.)

Menu for Day Two:
Meal 1 - 6:00AM
1/3 cup scrambled egg whites
apple
2 cups water
multivitamin

Meal 2 - 9:00AM
Zone Bar
2 cups of Water

Meal 3 - 12:00pm
1/2 baked chicken breast cut up on wheat tortilla
hand sized portion of corn
2 cups of water

Meal 4 - 2:30pm - Starving!!
Shake made with 1 cup of water and 2 scoops of EAS Protein

Meal 5 - (scheduled)
Half a salmon strip
fist sized portion of mixed vegatables
fist sized portion of brown rice

Meal 6 - (scheduled)
Small bowl of cottage cheese and pinapples
glass of milk (Ovaltine)<- helps me sleep

Why don't I feel full? I can only drink so much water so replace food. Have I gotten into such bad eating habits that I feel this way? Does it get easier?

One thing I have done is skip all the "extra" food at work so far. (i.e. - donuts, bagels, birthday cake, extra halloween candy, potbelly's breakfast sandwiches, extra catered in lunches for meetings). It is ridiculous the amount of food offered to everyone here at my desk job. I have also given up soda completely until my free day.

I don't know...I'm new as well, however I will confess that these last two days I have used home-made low-fat, low-sodium popcorn that I whip up some nights to fill the craving gaps. Mostly fiber.

Helps keep digestion...moving.

I don't know if that's a good or bad thing to do.

I think maybe you are just not used to eating less?

And maybe you are not eating enough? How are your portion sizes looking? Go back to the books rules, size of your fist or palm of your hand.

Remember, your body needs clean fuel to burn when you are exercising on BFL, and the BFL exercise routine is tough as nails, so make sure you are eating enough to fuel these tough workout sessions or you will feel weak and tired after a workout session!

Hope this helps. Ciao!

Feeling much fuller today after breakfast. I upped the amount of egg whites to half a cup. I will add an additional shake before the workout as well as make it bigger.

If the EAS premium protein you make your shake with is just protein you need to add a carb at that time too.

That is why the myoplex shakes are ok by themselves. They are considered meal replacements because you get protein and carbs out of the shake.

Tell you what, a shake on its own like Myoplex which has carbs and protein just does not fill me. I like to use a pure whey protein shake and eat a solid carb with it, like a banana. That makes me feel much fuller than just drinking a shake.
