My tragic story
Hello Everyone.
I am new to BFL forum. I have known about BFL for some time. Tried it and quit several years ago. But know I am back with a vengeance. Here is my story: I have picked up so much weight that I almost died because I didn't know I had become diabetic. I was inactive, no exercise what so ever. One week, I became sick. I was really thirsty and I could not hold anything down. So I figured I was coming down with the flu. When this normally happens I usually drink a lot of orange juice and it knocks it out. Not this time. Because I was so thirsty I consumed gallons of orange juice in a few days time. Not knowing these were the symptoms of a diabetes, I even tried drinking warm 7up to settle my stomach. So know I have been drinking orange juice and 7up for several days, which is really bad for a diabetic. One day I got out of bed to go take a shower, and I passed out. I woke up in the hospital several days later. My blood sugar had reached 1,400 (a normal person's blood sugar should be between 70 and 120). My doctor said I should have died from a diabetic coma. (And in his 20 years practicing medicine he never had seen someone's blood sugar that high) While I was in the hospital it took me a week to come to my senses. I was delusional and paranoid. I seriously thought the doctors were trying to kill me. I kept trying to fight them. I thought I was fighting to save my life. They had to restrain me to my bed. I spent 2 weeks in the hospital because I didn't exercise or eat right. And now I have to take shots everyday to maintain my blood sugar. I was told that I needed to eat better and exercise everyday. So I thought there was no time like now to do the BFL challenge and see it through this time. My motivation is living. Now I am really fighting to save my life. So I will be asking lots of questions, so I hope the BFL community receives me well. |

I'm curious how old you are and how much you weigh. I like to know these things before giving anybody any advice. Well, it sounds like you've been given a second chance. I'm sure I speak for everybody here in saying we're here for you. If you have any questions just fire away.
