wvatmguy is on the road to a better life
Former teen weight lifter finally doing BFL after 8 years

I quit the program at age 18 when I was a senior in high school. I had so much energy. The fact is though I didn't eat right, I ate like I was on a " diet".
I ate protein after my workouts *egg whites* but didn't eat through out the day like I should have. The bottom line though I started it at age 16 at 360 plus pounds and at age 18 was 245 pounds!!! The grace of the Lord and sheer willpower along with the help of a close friend/teacher helped me get through and feel the best I ever felt.

Flash forward to now...I'm 26 with a career that involves me working 8am to 7pm and on call till 10pm. I'm normally home around 6 or 7 through the week. I normally can't weight lift in the morning so I had planned on doing it in the evening around 6 or 7....is that a bad thing? I sure hope not.

I am now 280ish....SO stinking sluggish. I mean one look at me and you can tell I used to be into weight lifting. However I lost a lot of muscle mass over the years.

Granted I'm 6'3" male and honestly big boned lol... I'm hoping to put back some muscle on my frame and just "Feel" better. I'm not looking to be like some super god of muscle, but I do want to at least get that nice buff look I had in high school and maybe even better!! I have the willpower for it I know.

Also I can eat the same foods over and over again as I'm not hard to please when it comes to that. Here is my meal plan for the day...please don't hate me as I can pop egg whites like candy jello X***D

0715
2cups water
1 super egg omelet *typo*

1015
2cups water
EAS whey protein shake

1215
2cups water
1 can tuna in water
romaine lettuce
colliflower
pretty much tuna salad lol..
apple

1515
2cups water
EAS whey protien shake

1815
grilled chicken breast
potatoe
colliflower
corn or peas....can't decide which
2cups water
banana

******planned lift anywhere from 7pm to 8pm*******

2115
2cups water
3 egg whites
banana or apple or some form of fruit....maybe skim milk ONLY instant pudding.

Sleep by 12pm and wake up the next day at 7am sharp.

Does this seem doable??? Because this is most likely how I'm going to fit it in my work schedule. Now I work 8 days in a row but get 6 off in a row....so on the off days I can just " meh" workout whenever I wanted. However I'm afraid my body might not like that... OR is it good to "mix it up" like that as far as time goes so your body doesn't "adapt" to the same old thing?

Man had I stuck with this ....and done it right back then I'd be a monster now X****D

God Bless you all =) Good luck with your journey!!

Hi wvatmguy, nice to meet you. I think you should be okay. I guess in theory it would be good to keep execising at the same time when you're off work, but the reality is you're off work so it's more liely that you'll do them when you want which is stacks better than not doing them at all.

My three suggestions are:
1. Have your whey shake immediately after lifting.
2. Try to get eight hours of sleep.
3. You may want to back off the carbs in your 18:15 meal.
