Urgent Guidance needed

Hi,
I am 36 year old and pretty obese.
I am starting BOL today , but I have no idea what dumbell weight should I start with.
Also I have dumbell which has screw and it is going to take time to change the weights.
Please suggest.

Well, the weight is not that important. Just get started and it will all get worked out. You'll learn pretty quickly what you can handle and what you can not. As far as those screws, just go as quickly as you can. We have to make do with what we have. Good luck!

BlakeD will help you achieve greatness
Assuming that weight training is foreign to you just as it was to me when I started BFL, go ahead and start with zero pounds (i.e., just the weight of the dumbbell, with no weights added on) as your lowest weight and increase it by the smallest amount of weight that you can (for instance, if you have 2-pound weights or 3-pound weights to add on). After the first 2 or 3 sessions, you'll get a feel for where your level 10 intensity is, and then you can work backwards to figure out where you should be starting so as to achieve a level 6 intensity.

As for changing the weights, just go as fast as you can, keeping in mind that you're supposed to wait 1 minute in between sets anyway.

Good luck!
