Loosing Weight But........

Just finished week 8. Lost 14 pounds in total (9 in the first month and 5 in the second month)..........but I am just not that happy with where I lost the inches............Lost 5 inches from hips, 0 inches from the waist, and 7 inches from my chest.

I am the classic pear shape, so I was really hoping for more loss from the waist and below. So how does your body know where to take the excess fat from? I assumed that the fat loss would be somewhat evenly distributed, but it that wrong?

Guess I should not complain too much since I am losing! And I feel that I have changed my lifestyle dramatically. Looking forward to working out tomorrow and back to the BFL eating patterns. I can definitely eat this way for life!

From my understanding where your body holds its fat is coded in your DNA. You will start losing fat in your mid-section... just keep up the good work!

Thanks..........hard to complain about 14 pounds in four weeks.

Sounds like I just need to patient and wait for other areas of my body to react to the new changes.

Thanks for all your help!

I'm also pear shaped, what I've found is that I start losing around my chest, then tummy and only very lastly, my bottom.

Losing gets harder as you get older, that's why I started this, other attemps were'nt working and it's a lot harder to lose weight than it used to be.

Don't lose hope, even if the results are taking a while, you're doing great.

Dan is right about DNA coding. You will also loose fat in a pattern, certain areas will go first.

Could you share a day's worth of eating with us? Maybe we could make suggestions to speed up your progress.

Wow! Been a while since I last posted. I have been taking a break as far as the exercise goes, but still eating fairly clean. Still losing inches though since the jeans just keep getting looser.

I lost 20 pounds during the first twelve weeks and have lost another four on my break (about four weeks total). The boyfriend of 2.5 year just moved out last weekend and suddenly I have the energy and motivation back. Ready once again to focus on me!

The weight loss finally equalized - lost the chest first, then the hips, and then the tummy - so now it is all balanced. Starting back into another 12 weeks tomorrow with another 20 pound weight loss goal.

Ready to get started again and looking forward to it. Ready to shop for new clothes again in a few more months.

Wish me luck!

You don't need luck Misty. You got determination and drive. You're gonna succeed!
