Not Sore??
Shouldn't I be sore after a LBWO?
I tested the weights the night before, so it wouldn't slow me down during my workout. I found my max and used them for level 10. I thought the workout was challenging, but I haven't been sore at all--anywhere. Always in the past, my legs and butt were very, very sore.

Yes, you want to try to push yourself to an intensity that will make you at least a little sore. That can be very difficult with lower body just because your lower muscles are already extremely conditioned from simply carrying your body's own weight all day every day. Just keep trying to push a little harder each time, you'll get there. Also mix your workout up as much as possible.

You didn't say exactlly what you did. If you want sore do lunges, deadlifts or squats. Do any of those excercises correctly and you will be walking funny for days.

Again not really sure what you did, but I went off on my legs Saturday. Today I can barely stand up without groaning.

Most of what I did was on the machine. Can't remember the names at the moment.
My husband thought I might have been using weights that were too heavy and then compromising my form (without realizing it) in order to lift. I'll take 10 lbs off next week and make sure I'm not using my back, etc.

Also, you might not experience it until tomorrow - delayed muscle soreness.
Funny to think of actually hoping to feel sore, huh? Good for you for getting your workout in! |

not sore
I wasn't sore either after the workout....and I really pushed myself and did a max 10. I asked my trainer and she said if you do the same exercises all the time (which I always do lunges) you will see that the muscle recovers quicker and there may not be any soreness. I hope she is right on cuz I like to feel a bit sore the next day ....it goes along with the mind set of no pain...no gain

Yep, your trainer is right your body can adapt to routine. Time to shake up that leg routine. Squats, deadlifts, leg press, etc. You should change up your routine every couple monthes or you will run smack dab into the dreaded plateau.
