life's little challenges

Well, things are about to become interesting. I got laid off from my job last Friday. Sure I wanted to say why me and eat like a pig, but I haven't. I haven't missed a single workout in 18 weeks, but that's about to change. Next Monday I start the 3000 mile drive home from California to Florida. I've decided to treat the week like a vacation/break. I plan on eating everything I've been missing for the last 18 weeks and I'm not going to feel bad about it (well not a lot). I'll start back up September 2nd for another 18 weeks, that will take me to the end of the year.
I plan on changing things around, a lot of different excercises. I plan on changing from the bike to the skier thing (whatever the hell it's called) for cardio. My goal is to drop another 50 lbs and weigh in at 350 by December 31st.

Yep, back to the sunshine state or right now the rain state would be more appropriate. Hopefully I'll miss all that and have a nice drive.

Hey BT,

I'm sorry to hear about the lay-off. I hope you are able to find a good job soon.

I'm glad to hear that you're taking a week off, though. Seriously, you need it! I was kinda worried about you when you said you were starting C2 right after C1, especially considering the huge goal you set for yourself. After 12 weeks it's good to take a break (at least from the exercise) and let your body (especially your joints) recuperate.

Let yourself enjoy the trip as much as you can (a road trip that long sucks if you can't stop and eat wherever/whatever you want) and don't stress over any weight you might gain from it. You'll kick up your metabolism and when you resume BFL I bet you'll see the weight drop nice and quick again.

Sorry about the job loss BT, but sounds like you have the right attitude. Something better is waiting for you in Florida - just watch out for the po po on the way East.

If you don't mind me asking, what part of FL are you headed back to? I'm originally from there and still have friends and family there. I'd be happy to shoot ask around about whos hiring and what not.

Bigthunder,

Congratulations on the start of your new life! What a great way to start it - with a break!

When you get there, you will be ready to get back to the good foods and exercise. Great plan!
