Problem around others???

I am wondering if anybody else out there has a problem doing the program when their spouse is home?

He is very supportive and loving - so I am not talking about that kind of problem. It is just that when my husband is home, we are so busy, it is hard to do what I have planned.

I still exercise right, but when it comes to the food... we tend to eat out at least one of the days. And, when we have the luxary of eating out, I don't want to pay an arm and a leg for something that is not as "good" as everything else.

You know, putting this down in writing really makes me see what I need to do. I just need to get over myself and buck up.

Thanks for listening.

Encourage him to get on board. Doing this with my wife has been fantastic for our relationship. We really enjoy spotting each other on hard sets. Not only do you get to triumph in personal victories, but you get to share it with the other person you love most.

Even if he's not on board, buck up anyway!

I told him about this post and he was all for it! I guess I should have asked 16 days ago!

Thanks!

This is one of the reasons I like to do my workouts early in the morning--my wife is still in bed so I don't have to worry about missing a workout because of being in the middle of doing something with or for her that dragged on longer than expected.

We used to eat out a lot, so that aspect of it was definitely an adjustment for us. The free day helps; Monday through Saturday we pretty much eat separately, but then Sunday (my free day) we eat out all we want. It's actually worked out pretty well--we're saving money by not eating out nearly as much as we used to, and when Sunday comes along we enjoy it and appreciate it more than we used to.

Unfortunately she's not willing to do the program with me (she's a very picky eater and more than happy to quit any exercise program after a day or two, if she even starts), but she's been supportive and encouraging of my efforts.

Glad to hear that your spouse is going to join you. My husband is doing the program with me and I think it makes it a lot easier and more fun. I told him when I started that he didn't have to do it BUT that the food/meals in the house were going to be BFL approved so he figured why not join. Half the work is done for him anyway, I do the shopping, plan the meals, and cook the dinners (etc). Little jerk has it easy! (Im kidding!!! We both benefit by doing this together)

I don't have anyone else to worry about indoors. However, I do have to work out in the evenings as the gym as it isn't open in the early mornings when I leave for work. I do find it hard to actually work out so close to others though, as my gym is very much oversold on subscription and it is quite packed on a Monday to Wednesday. I get round this by going that bit later. They have a policy to not have children under 16 yrs in the pool after 8pm, not that I don't like kids but when they are jumping in and screaming, it can be hard if you want an after-gym relaxing swim in a lane. On Friday and Sat nights, I can go for a swim and have the whole pool to myself as they close at 11pm. Busy Monday-Wednesday is unavoidable. Anyone else had this prob? I plan to do more running outside once BfL is over and I can readjust mycardio workouts. I can run for over 18 mins now (5-6th week) but couldnt' run for more than 5 mins when I started.
