Holy Temptation!

So I am in charge of all of the office parties at my job and we are having our March bday celebration today...
With yummy, super fabulous, sooo not BFL friendly pastries from Zaros bakery. UGH! I had to go pick out all these delish cannolis and brownies and eclairs and carry them back and set them up and I can't/ didn't eat any! Woo!

Just needed to whine a little

Congrats! It's moments like these that make all the difference for the long term. If you consistently pass up the little treats through the week, and save your indulgences for your free day, you'll have plenty to be proud of (and great results at the end of 12 weeks to show for it).

I agree, nice job!

Watch out in the next few days... skipping that indulgence may start to feel less like an accomplishment and more like a missed opportunity. This then leads to eating some junk, a little more junk, a lot more junk, and then punishing yourself for overdoing it.... So stay ahead of the guilt fairy and keep that "proud of yourself" feeling in place. You didn't need that garbage and your body didn't miss it. If you still want an awesome canolli on your free day, it'll be there waiting for you.

Not a temptation per se, but today I imagined smelling and tasting some of my favorite foods. Imagine isn't quite right as for a split second I actually did taste that fried chicken. I think my brain is messing with me. Off now to eat a homemade grilled chicken sandwich.

It does take a while to adapt to resisting those old, unhealthy foods. But I'll admit that every now and again I have to smell the cake or cookies that someone else is eating just to get my fix! Take goodness there are no calories in smells
