creatine with juice

ive heard the best way to take creatine monohydrate powder is to dissolve it in grape or apple juice but these juices are high in sugar and fat etc. i dont ahve a juicer to make the juice myself by actaully juicing a whole fruit

ive heard hot water is second best.

does anyone have any tips for comsuming creatine powder ?

Just toss it into a shake. You're splitting hairs when it comes to whether you should drink it in juice, water, milk, or beer (although probably not beer)...

Another note, naturally juiced juices don't have less sugar than what you buy in the store.. well assuming we're talking 100% juices. The "problem" with them is the high sugar content per serving.. it's concentrated as compared to the fruit. As long as you stick to 8 oz, there's nothing wrong with the occasional glass of fruit juice. I like it.

i heard that for the creatine to be effective it has to dissolve properly in ur stomach and the juice helps with that

juice in stores could have anything added to it but if you juice it urself u no that u are getting the 100% fruit nothing added

Well what that recommendation is getting at is the insulin spike I talked about on other threads. Creatine is better absorbed if it has a sugar to carry it into the muscle. Juices do help with this. When I say toss it into a shake, that's because I'm assuming there's some sugar (i.e. carbs) to help in this endeavor. If you take it apart from your workouts, then yes, juice may help. But I wouldn't go so far as to say it's "necessary".

I've never used creatine before. For the people who have used it, what difference have you notice in your training/body since you started?

Well I'll start with the negative: Water weight gain (not a lot though), upset stomach.

Benefits: Bigger muscles, increased strength, better endurance (for 1 or 2 very hard sets), quicker recovery, less sore.

I just started taking Creatine Alpha-Ketoglutarate Powder a couple of days ago. I personally take it with grape juice. I'm going to take it once a day for 2 weeks. After the 2 weeks I'll probably stop for about 3-4 weeks and see the results once the water weight is all gone. I have heard mixed reviews on whether or not females should take creatine. I love it personally. I have noticed a significant increase in strength and energy!

You can cycle for longer than 2 weeks. At the 2x per day dose you'll only just get through the loading phase and then cycle off. It would be better to stay on it for 6-8 weeks, then cycle off for your 3-4 weeks. The form you're taking is supposed to be better about water retention (not as bad).

2 weeks aint gonna do sh!t for you, its pointless. use creatine for 6 weeks then stop all together for 4 weeks before starting your next 6 week cycle

Oh! Ok, because I was told that the type of creatine I'm taking works really well (better than other types of creatine - whatever that means) and so I shouldn't stay on it too long.
Alright, I'll stay on it for 6 weeks and see what happens!
