Do I have to use EAS Whey Protein? What about...
Whey Tech Pro 24 by Body Tech?
Im on day 2 of 84. So Im using this first week to get off to a proper start. I meant to stick to the guidelines of the program but while I was in Vitamin Shop the sales associate suggested I try Whey Tech instead of Myoplex because its half the price and contains more protein. I took his advice and bought the Whey Tech and just grabbed a few myoplex protein bars to maybe use as snacks here and there. Feedback? |

It comes down to what works for you. Many of us have tried lots and lots of supplements and have found flavors, types (bars, RTDs, powder, etc.).
The bars are great - the powder is good as well - but as the sales guy suggested - there are other options to consider.

be careful though cos there is a lot of garbage supplements on the market. ive never heard of whey tech so i cant advise you on that but i will advise you to do some research on it. and one more thing , are you sure it has more protein in it than myplex ? myplex has a wopping 42g and there any manner powders out there that have that much in it, the most ive ever seen apart from myplex is 30g |

You're right Yakuba, I was duped. Whey Tech only has 24g (hence "Pro 24")of protein. I should have stuck to the script. Thing is when I walked into the place (Vitamin Shoppe) it was sort of information overload because there were a million and one different supplements.
Oh well, when Im done with this one, or if it doesnt produce results Ill switch over to Myoplex. I did try a Myoplex protein bar last night after my cardio though, it was pretty damn good. Ill buy the bars for snacks. Heres a pic of Whey Tech Pro 24 that the guy at Vitamin Shoppe suggested and I bought. ![]() |

i thought something didnt sound right when u sed it had more protein in it than myplex. from my own personal experience here is the supplements that ive found to be trustworthy: *maximuscle (i dont use it anymore though cos its too expensive) *myplex (i only have 3 servings a week cos its too expensive. i just use it for post workout) *optimum nutritions gold standard 100% whey ( top quality stuff, tastes great and you get a massive tub of 80 servs for a great price) *eas 100% whey (best price on the market and its top quality stuff) |

Speaking of EAS 100% Whey, I saw that when I was looking for the Myoplex. The tub of EAS 100% Whey was like...$20-30 if I remember correctly. Whats the difference between EAS 100% Whey and Myoplex?

the differencd is that myplex is a meal replacement. myplex contains as many carbs as say a bowl of pasta or a jacket potato so u take myplex on its own. as for the 100% whey its just protien (no carbs) so you would have that plus a carb portion e.g a bowl of pasta or a peice of fruit etc.. . also you can take a whey protein shake with your normal meal to increase the protein content e.g if you had chicken and pasta you could ahve a whey shake too (but be careful cos anymore than about 55g protein per meal is too musch and will be converted to fat). myplex has about 40 g protein were as the whey has about 24g (this is the normal amount for a simple whey protein shake) |

The whey is just protein. The Myoplex is a full meal replacement, so in addition to the protein it also contains carbs (and a decent amount of vitamins and minerals). With protein powder, you need to add a carb to it yourself to make a full meal out of it.
