new to this all
hi everyone, really need some direction in the art of structuring supplements. to put everything into perspective i hope to train first thing in the morning then go straight to work.
i would appreciate if anyone who has done the body for life challenge can help me structure my supplement intake times and when best to use these supplements here follows a list of all the supplements i hope to take effectively eas myopro myoplex deluxe (1 per day) normal myoplex (1 per day) myoplex diet (1 per day) load up on phosphagen hp then move onto betagen eas hmb multi vitamin as previously mentioned i need a structure of what supplements to take a which particular times. and also can u enlighten me what supplements are best taken after cardio exercise that would fit into a six meal a day structure i have tried to research as much as possible but some people eat 7 times a day (allowing for the whey protein post work out) also if i exercise first thing in the morning should i be consuming whey protein along with the betagen pre workout AND post workout?! HELP ![]() ![]() many thanks merlin |

firstly good choice on working out first thing in the morning , thats wot i do and it so efficient. this is what i do: mon, wed and fri: *workout on empty stomach *breki - myoplex origional (immediately after my workout. i class my breki on weight training days as my post workout meal) *snack - whey protein and fruit (20 grapes) *dinner - baked beans and chicken and veg *snack - whey and fruit (banana) *tea - either chicken and beans or tuna, veg and pasta *before bed - 250g tub of cottage cheese and fruit (apple) tue, thurs , sat *the whole day is exactly the same as mon, wed fri except i have porridge and whey for breakfast instead of myplex. the best thing to do is have normal meals for brekin, dinner and tea e.g real food like porridge, pasta , bread for carbs and chicken , tuna , eggs for protein. and then supplement the other 3 ''sancks'' with either whey for protein and fruit for carbs or just a meal replacment such as myplex which contains both carbs and protein. i have real food instead of a supplement for my protein portion before bed cos cottage cheese contains casein protein which is better than whey before bed. i have whey for breakfast on tue, thurs, and sat cos the only real protein food suitable for breki is eggs (chicken, tuna etc... doesnt really taste nice to me at that time of day) and i hate eggs. i have a myplex supplement for breki on weight training days becasue post workout u need carbs and protein preferably in liquid form instead of whole foods therefore myplex is perfect for that time of day. i take all of my vitamens etc... with my breakfast. if you exercise first thing in the morning then do it on an emtpy stomach if you still have the energy to complete the workout. if you dont have the energy then u need to eat both carbs and protein 60-90 mins before the workout. (i dont eat anything cos i have enough energy to complete the workout without food). post workout you need carbs and protein in liquid form immediately after youve finished or no later than 1 hour after youve finished. whole food is ok but liquid form is best. after your cardio dont eat until one hour after it. this is very important if you want the fat burning of the cardio to be very effective. once the hour is up after cardio then just eat a nromal meal of carbs and protein - whole foods not liquid. * make sure you eat protein and carbs every 2 - 3 hours first of all its very strange that you are having 1 of each of the following per day - myplex diet, myplex deluxe, myplex origional. people have goals when it comes to body forlife e.g fat loss, muscle and size, muscle and and fat loss. and they use the correct supplemnts to achieve their goal e.g someone aiming for fat loss would use only myplex diet. someone aiming for size would use myplex deluxe and someone aiming for both a bit of muscle and some fat loss would stick with myplex origional. i dont know why you are mixing the 3 but anyway here is what i would do with your day: weight training day: *if you need to eat before you workout then have some carbs and protein 60-90 mins before the workout. if not then just do it on an empty stomach *workout * breki - myplex deluxe (immediately after the workout or no later than one hour after it. *snack - myplex origional *dinner -whole foods such as chicken and pasta and veg *snack -either have your myplex diet or something like cottage cheese with fruit tea - whole foods again before bed - either the myplex diet or cottage cheese and fruit cardio day : *do cardio on empty stomach *breki - whole foods such as scrambled egg on toast or have porridge with whey (1 hour after cardio) *snack - myplex deluxe *dinner - whole foods *snack - myplex origional *tea - whole foods *before bed - myplex diet i dont know what eas myopro is so i cant advise you on that |

thanks yakubu, yeah the method behind the madness of the three different myoplex's is to blitz all the nutrients into my muscles when they need them most-like using myoplex deluxe straight after a work out and gradually reverting to myoplex diet in the evening as there aren't so many carbs in it?
not sure if thats proper practice but i thought id try it to see if it'd help shift the last bit of stubborn body fat. should i only use myopro whey protein on my cardio days as directed? and when in your opinion is the best time to use the betagen, hmb bearing in mind that im training at 6 am? i do not have a problem with energy levels so eating before my workout is not vital thank you for all your help merlin |
