Biceps

Wah, I hate my arms, they are tone but they look huge. Compare to when I didn't do any wieght lifting to now, they are much bigger. Do you guys think it's because my arms are now fat and if I were to lose the fat, they would be thinner?

This is a picture of me now:

This was me two years ago when I didn't do any weight lifting:

I understand your frustration. Keep this in mind though, it's always easier to burn muscle than fat. Keep working your guns for now and if down the road, when your body fat % is lowered, if you still feel like your arms are too big, you can slow the workouts... but don't do that yet. Keep at it!

I think the 1st picture is better personally. The thin arms don't appeal to me. I think if you keep going, the arms will get more toned and defined and won't seem flabby to you.

This program sure calls for lots of patience. That's a good point though about muscle. I am hitting the 6 weeks mark end of this week when you guys had promised that I would see changes.

But they are not flabby. They just look big. I personally like the skinny arms better. But I am guessing the arms are big right now because fat is covering the muscle??? I hope so.

Six weeks is a great milestone. It's half-way! Awesome!

But think about this honestly for a minute.. Have you been strict with exercise AND DIET during the whole 6 weeks? (I already know the answer ) This is not to discredit your progress, you're doing great! But you aren't allowed to be upset with your progress if you haven't been giving it an honest 6 weeks. Make sense?
I'm not necessarily saying that the only way to have progress is to be strict, but it just may take longer than the magic 6 week point.

But back to your arms... I think they look sexier in the first pic too

Haha, you are so funny! Ok, must you remind me that my 6 weeks weren't up to par? Darn, now what's the magic number then if not 6 weeks? But I have to admit, I do see progress and I am happy that I have been eating much healthier than before.

As for the arms, thanks, let me try to convince myself that the first pic is better.

Very nice... I agree, the first pic is great! I also agree that you should give it the full 12 weeks. After that, you can always switch to lighter weights and higher reps to maintain muscle tone.

You guys surprise me - I thought the second pic is objectively better (arm wise) but it's an eye-opener. I'll keep up the weight lifting per BFL's recommendations.

I think the first picture is better too! You look toned as opposed to just skinny. You are doing great.

Hey, variety is the spice of life... see how much your asian man gets jealous when he sees all the American dudes drooling over your hot bod!

Haha. That's very kind of you. It's definitely complete opposite:

Asian men (in general) likes: pale, skinny, definitely no muscle women. Haha.

Actually, I am married to a Caucasian man. And I belong to a Vietnamese chat site where most if not all the men really hate me for marrying outside my race. They tell me only ugly women have to go outside our race to marry. But it's the internet so I don't take their comments to heart. It's an on-going issue on that forum.

Good for you, you seem to have the right attitude. You're a beautiful woman, and you should be proud of the steps you're taking to better yourself.

I have a major weakness for dark-haired, dark-eyed women . Btw, nice legs, too.

Thanks and I am proud of the fact that I am eating healthy for once in my life. It's so healthy that I feel like I should join some convent.

Similar to you, my weakness is also beautiful women and I am heterosexual.
