Barbiegetsfit is on the road to a better life
Frustrated.....

First I have to say I love body for life.... I feel better than I have in years... More confident, more energy.. and more commited to this than anything I ever have been.

My frustration is... I can't seem to really increase my weights...
have over time.... but still 20 lbs is still the highest weight I can lift, and that is for my 6 reps... so tonite I just tried to lift a couple more reps to push myself.

I have lost 15lbs... most likely about 20 now, but haven't weighed myself in a couple weeks.. I have lost about 11 inches... and dropped at least a size...
I am in my 9th week.
I am thinking of doing carb cycling to really drop more fat... as I have alot of weight to lose, about 70 lbs now.

Any ideas?? I really need some advice.
Thanks.

You could try mixing it up a bit by doing the exercises in a different order. If you have a routine and the exercise you normally do 2nd or 3rd is dunmbell curls, for instance, try doing that one first instead. You will be able to lift more than you usually do, but you'll also find whatever you used to do first a lot harder than before. If you keep switching stuff around, even if you just change the order of the same 4 or 5 exercises with the same weight amounts, it can make a lot of difference.

That wasn't my post, but thanks for the tips! I find myself sometimes not pushing the weight up because I know I can't do all 12 reps- I will rethink that and try your tip and see if it helps.
